A great morning at Cranbourne as our Stay Inside x Emotional Moment colt stepped out for his first official barrier trial. Jumping from gate 4 over 800 metres, he settled midfield before finishing off strongly through the line, running the final 200 metres in 11.8 seconds.
Rider Jake Noonan was impressed: "He's still very green and was having a good look at everything, but once I asked him to extend he really picked up. He's got a good motor."
Ciaron Maher was pleased with the run, noting that the colt is likely to have one more trial before heading to the races. "He's going to need a bit of racing to learn, but the raw ability is clearly there. The Stay Inside progeny are precocious and this bloke is no different."
